New Priestly Assignments

Bishop Deshotel has announced new Pastoral assignments for the Diocese of Lafayette. Among them, Fr. Vidrine has been appointed Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Crowley. And Fr. Michael DeBlanc has been appointed Pastor of St. Anthony Church in Krotz Springs. The appointments are effective Monday, July 3.
Fr. DeBlanc is a native of Parks, LA. After seminary formation at St. Joseph Seminary College (St. Ben’s) in Covington, LA and Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, he was ordained to the Priesthood for the Diocese of Lafayette on June 21, 2014. He served as Parochial Vicar of St. Genevieve Church in Lafayette for two years and St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley, LA for one year.
Please pray for Fr. Vidrine, Fr. DeBlanc, and all Priests and Parishes that will experience this transition.

Reverend Fr. Travis Abadie appointed as Pastor of Saint Francis Regis Parish and Saint Catherine Parish, both in Arnaudville for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend Fr. Paul Bienvenu appointed Pastor of Saint Alphonsus Parish in Maurice for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend FrKeenan Brown appointed as Pastor of Saint Augustine Parish in Basile for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend Fr. David Brian Hebert appointed Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Seton Parish in Lafayette for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend Fr. Matthew Higginbotham appointed Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish and Immaculate Conception Parish, both in Washington for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend Fr. William Massie appointed Pastor of Saint Ann Parish in Mamou along with its mission of Holy Spirit Chapel in Vidrine for a period of six (6) years.
Reverend Fr. Mikel Anthony Polson appointed to the position of Chancellor of Notre Dame High School for a period of three (3) years.
